Grass is greener at new bowls complex

09/06/2010
We could not fault the professionalism and dedication of the entire TigerTurf team who worked on our new indoor green.

With the new indoor green being the only one on the North West Coast of Tasmania the benefits not just for our club but the entire bowling community have been incredible.

This could not have been achieved without the TigerTurf team, says Senior Vice President Jason Morrisby.
Burnie Bowls Club new complex will leave others green with envy.

The club left a 101 year history behind at its former West Park home to move into the $3.6 million new complex featuring two eight rink outdoor grass greens, a six rink indoor synthetic green, bistro and bar.

The indoor green surface is TigerTurf Bowlsweave, a U.V. stabilised polypropylene woven material, regarded as the elite surface of choice by most clubs. Bowlsweave provides a consistant and durable surface requiring minimal maintenance and provides comparable speeds to free running natural greens.

It is one of three indoor greens in the state and means enthusiasts can enjoy the game rain, hail or shine.
