Easts Hockey Club in Brisbane's eastern suburbs has official opened their new TigerTurf WETT pitch.

The existing natural grass pitch has been transformed into a state of the art international standard synthetic playing surface capable of hosting world level competitions.

The project was in partnership with the Queensland government, The Australian Sports Foundation, Brisbane City Council and the Camp Hill and Carina Welfare Associations.

TigerTurf WETT is a dense, texturised polyethlyene monofilament with the added benefits of being able to be played on dry without compromising play charactoristics or warranty.

Other features & benefits:

       - FIH Global product approval
       - Extremely durable fibre providing a longer life expectancy
       - Little sign of deformation or change after extensive wear testing
       - Less friction between ball and surface resulting in a faster more consistant game
and improved grip that allows the player to dictate the play and not the ground
       - A more stable feel under foot
