TigerTurf help make kids smile at Ronald McDonald House, Parkville
22/06/2010Jo Prothero
TigerTurf is pleased to have contributed to the transformation of the back yard at Ronald McDonald House in Parkville.
The area has been transformed to include new landscaping, car parking, decking and play centre.
The TigerTurf team installed Meadow, a long pile synthetic grass, providing a natural grass appearance without the need for water or mowing and most importantly a safe environment for the children to play, which will be lush and green 365 days a year.
The house was opened in 1986 and extensively renovated to transform 4 Victorian terrace houses and is a home away from home for families with children requiring hospitilisation at Royal Childrens Hospital. As at the end of March 2010 the house has accomodated in excess of 411,00 nighly guests.
TigerTurf Landscape Manager, Toni DeClase says 'It was fantastic to be involved with such a great community project that will benefit the children'.
